The History of White People in America Volumes 1 + 2 (1985 / 1986)

$20.00

Two programs on one disc!

DIRECTOR: Harry Shearer (both programs)

STARS: Martin Mull (Fernwood Tonight), Fred Willard (Best in Show), Mary Kay Place, Edie McClurg (Planes Trains Automobiles), Robert Ridgely (Dirty Duck), Eileen Brennan (Private Benjamin), George Wendt (Cheers), Jeffrey Tambor (Arrested Development), Stella Stevens (Las Vegas Lady) + lots of other white people.

SYNOPSIS: Two made-for-cable mockumentaries from Martin Mull. Only one year after This is Spinal Tap, Harry Shearer teamed up with Martin Mull to create these comedy specials. Much like Albert Brooks’ groundbreaking Real Life, this mockumentary focuses on an average (white) American family. Fred Willard and Mary Kay Place are raising their kids in a classic suburban neighborhood. Martin Mull is the onscreen host setting up popular topics like religion, therapy, golf, stress, backyard BBQs and the love of mayonnaise. Filled with familiar faces these two programs are laugh-out-loud funny. Riding off the ideas from the above mentioned films and leading the way for modern classics like The Office and Arrested Development. Hilarious.

The History of White People in America Vol. 1: Running time: 48mins.
The History of White People in America Vol. 2: Running time: 1hr 40mins.

Fullscreen / Color (both films)
Region Free / Code Free DVD-R
