Much like Albert Brooks’ groundbreaking Real Life, this mockumentary focuses on an average (white) American family. Fred Willard and Mary Kay Place are raising their kids in a classic suburban neighborhood. Martin Mull is the onscreen host setting up popular topics like religion, therapy, golf, stress, backyard BBQs and the love of mayonnaise. Filled with familiar faces these two programs are laugh-out-loud funny. Riding off the ideas from the above mentioned films and leading the way for modern classics like The Office and Arrested Development. Hilarious.
