SYNOPSIS: Fun low budget horror that reminded me of films like Demon Lover and The Legend of Hillbilly John. An eager reporter for a local newspaper gets obsessed with an ancient Indian legend of a creature named “Natas”. He treks alone into the desert and finds an old ghost town where the inhabitants, who look like the ghouls in Carnival of Souls, scare him. Safe at home he convinces a group of his friends to go back to the town and document the strange goings-on ala Blair Witch Project. Like most horror film characters they find time to get wasted and screw after they find the town empty. But before long supernatural events begin and people start getting killed off. It ends with our hero and his girl face to face with the powerful “Natas”! It’s super low budget and cheesy but also kind of fun with some blood, monster make-up and optical effects. Never released on dvd.
