SYNOPSIS: Film lovers know that director Albert Pyun knows his way around a good sci-fi action movie and this one is no exception. The big standout here is the amazing steadicam that’s constantly moving and prowling around the characters and action. There’s little to no sets, just lots of amazing desert landscape — but it’s gorgeous. In a future wasteland, cyborg villains roam the desert collecting their food source: human blood. Things are pretty grim as the cyborgs seem to be taking over the world. Vicious cyborg leader Lance Henriksen has a gigantic robotic arms with a claw at the end of one. His main henchmen is played by martial arts legend Gary Daniels. On the hero side is top billed Kathy Long as a scrappy resistance fighter and Kris Kristofferson as a “good” cyborg programmed to fight the bad guys and protect humans. The two groups stalk, fight, and kill each other throughout the story. A subplot involves Long looking for her long-lost little brother. This fast paced movie is filled with great action scenes. Recommended.
