DIRECTOR: Jesus Fragoso Montoya (El Cazador)
STARS: Leonardo Daniel (Furia de Barrio), Felicia Mercado (Noche de Panico), German Robles (Vampire’s Coffin, Nostradamus, Brainiac), Augustin Bernal
SYNOPSIS: A criminal gang is determined to steal the formula of a highly addictive super drug that was accidentally created in a laboratory. German Robles plays the owner of the lab and is worried that this new drug will cause death and misery. The bad guys wear camouflage outfits and their mysterious leader has a big, gold scorpion on the back of his suit. There’s lots of back and forth as the bad guys try every trick in the book to get the drug formula. However, an anonymous hero ninja, dressed all in white, always arrives just in time to save the day. There are a number of fight scenes, a car chase, and some nudity. I was surprised to see Mexican film icon German Robles known for his films Brainiac, Nostradamus and the Vampire trilogy (from the 50’s & 60’s) still acting after all those years. To be fair this is more of a Mexican crime film with action that tries to cash in on the 80’s ninja craze. Still… cheesy fun though. In Spanish language with English subtitles.
