DIRECTOR: Howard Avedis (Scorchy, The Teacher)

SYNOPSIS: Edy Williams stars as “Dr. Minx” although at no point in the film does anyone call her that (her character is “Carol Evans”). Every male character in the film is shocked when they learn she’s a doctor: “Wow, that’s unusual!”. She seems to be a big shot at the local hospital but spends 90% of the film lounging around in see-through negligees. The plot kicks off when her boyfriend William Smith says he wants half of the money she inherited when her husband (Smith’s boss) died on the job. He claims she wanted the “accident” to happen. Meanwhile a college kid, “Brian”, is admitted into her hospital after a motorcycle accident. She tells him to come by her house the next day so she can give him a shot of medicine! They start screwing and fall in love. This upsets the kid’s best pal “David” (a thoroughly annoying character) who dresses and acts like “Columbo” and starts investigating Dr. Evans, er, Minx’s past. Melodrama and murder follows. Edy Williams looks gorgeous but delivers all her dialog like she’s in a late 70’s porn film, William Smith plays a great sleazeball and Alvy Moore is the local sheriff trying to figure out this mess. A classic drive-in movie that delivers on the sex but is short on plot. See director Avedis’ other films for more of the same.
