SYNOPSIS: Entertaining Asian mash-up of more movies than you can imagine including Star Wars, Godzilla, Big Trouble in Little China, Predator, Infra-Man and The Terminator just to name a few. There’s enough ideas in the plot for three movies! The good guys are a clan of samurai resistance fighters who use martial arts and swords even though there appears to be laser gun technology. They fight “mecha-ninjas”, deadly cyborgs controlled by an evil villain. The bad guys are preparing for a solar eclipse during which their dark overlord will return. Meanwhile, the heroes must fight battle after battle and prevent the second coming — so to speak. Caught in between is the title “cyber ninja”, a powerful fighter in a cool black suit with a full face mask. Nobody knows who he is, but he always shows up just in time to help the forces of good. The big showdown has all the characters fighting on the enemy ship as the eclipse arrives. Filled with great costumes, monster designs and special effects, this is action packed and a lot of fun. The filmmakers really utilize their FX toolbox with stop motion animation, matte paintings, optical effects, miniatures, wire work and more. Recommended. Dubbed in English.
