(aka Femmes Fatales)

DIRECTOR: Bertrand Blier (Buffet Froid)

STARS: Jean-Pierre Marielle (Four Flies on Grey Velvet, Clean Slate), Jean Rochefort (The Hairdresser’s Husband), Bernard Blier

SYNOPSIS: A wild, and wildy entertaining, comedy farce from 1976. French cinema icons Marielle and Rochefort star as two strangers who meet by accident. They immediately bond over their exasperation with women. This isn’t some kind of ‘incel’ situation. These guys easily get the ladies but simply need a break and fantasize about living women-free for a while. Within hours of meeting they are walking into the French countryside away from all responsibilities (and of course females). They settle into a remote cottage and begin drinking beer, eating meat and pickles, and burping and farting as much as they please. Soon word gets out and more men leave behind their wives, girlfriends and lovers to join this new revolution. The plot gets increasingly bizarre as women form militias and round the men up for forced sex. The ending is so surreal it could’ve been in a Alejandro Jodorowsky film. This rarity is filled with funny moments, great dialogue and tons of naked women begging to be screwed by our two heroes. There’s nothing quite like it. WIDESCREEN
