SYNOPSIS: This is an entertaining, feature length, animated space opera from Japan. In the early scenes a scientist father is trying to fix the horrific pollution on his home planet, S-1, when he is killed. Our hero, "Marlon", escapes and makes his way to Earth. Marlon helps the Earth's defense force fight by his control of the spaceship "Baldios" which is made up of smaller ships that join together and form a gigantic shogun-looking robot. The sexy Aphrodia is attracted to Marlon but also wants to kill him for the death of her brother! Their doomed love is the heart of the film. When traitors from S-1 invade Earth an all out war is imminent. Lots of great visuals and ideas in this forgotten film. Fans of Battle of the Planets and Space Battleship Yamato will want to check it out. Dubbed in English.
