SYNOPSIS: Claire Denis' moody modern day vampire film is an overlooked gem. Gallo and his wife are on vacation in France. Gallo is doing some medical research which eventually leads him to the oversexed, and bloodthirsty, Dalle. She is both seductive and terrifying in this role. It starts slow but there are some nice touches and a bloody payoff. Recommended. Unreleased on dvd in the USA. Uncut and WIDESCREEN.
