MISSION STARDUST
( aka …4…3…2…1 …Morte )
(1967)
DIRECTOR: Primo Zeglio (Morgan the Pirate , Relentless Four)
STARS: Lang Jeffries (The Revolt of the Slaves), Essy Persson (Cry of the Banshee), Luisa Dávila (A Quiet Place to Kill), John Carlsen (She Beast, Phenomenal)
SYNOPSIS: A team of astronauts in the spaceship "Stardust" land on the moon and are surprised to find an alien race living there. This includes an old scientist, a beautiful blonde and lots of humanoid robots. It turns out the scientist is suffering from leukemia. The astronauts suggest they fly back to Earth where he can be treated. The bulk of the film takes place in Africa where both the local military and a wealthy mob villain want to kill the aliens and steal their technology. Our heroes use fists, guns and some alien gadgets to save the day. This is more of an adventure film than straight up Sci-Fi. There's lots of fun special effects featuring the cool spaceships, lasers and robots. Swedish sexpot Essy Persson leaves a nice impressive as the tough alien commander who has eyes for one of the astronauts. The opening theme song is pretty great too.
