SYNOPSIS: Two Heavy Metal themed slasher films
Rocktober Blood: A much sought-after, and fun, entry in the horror / metal genre. It starts off with a jaded heavy metal guy (Billy) going on a 20+ person killing spree. He's arrested and executed for his crimes. Years later the only survivor of the massacre, his ex-girlfriend, is going to play at the "Rocktober Blood" music festival with her new band. Someone is stalking and threatening her. It looks like old Billy boy might not be dead after all as the bodies start piling up again. The last 20 minutes of the film is packed with metal music, smoke machines, wild make-up, costumes and of course more murder. Super cheesy with a decent amount of blood and gore plus a few nude scenes. The outfits, hairstyles and settings all scream 1980's! The music is surprisingly good (some of which is provided by the band Sorcery). Fans of Trick or Treat, Black Roses, Hard Rock Zombies (and of course the below film) will want this in their collection.
Terror on Tour: A KISS rip-off band called "The Clowns" is touring the country and playing to crowds of crazed fans. They wear full face make-up and wigs and have wild stage shows featuring blood and gore. As the film begins a groupie girl is killed by a "Clown"-faced killer. Thus begins a series of concert scenes, naked backstage antics, drug use and a lot more killing. Groupies, a drug dealer and a nosy investigator are just some of the bloody victims. Director Edmonds is responsible for such exploitation classics like Ilsa: She Wolf and Ilsa: Harem Keep of the Oil Sheiks. Fans of heavy metal and horror fun like Rocktober Blood will want to add this to their collection. An extremely rare slasher entry that is unreleased on dvd.
