SYNOPSIS: Bizarre arthouse fare with actors wearing animal masks and period costumes playing aristocrats and lowlifes in France circa the late 1700's. The Marquis de Sade is imprisoned in the Bastille where he continues to write his banned works. He has a huge penis with a face on it that talks with him. The whole film looks like a big budget, lavish history lesson mixed with Peter Jackson's Meet the Feebles. There are also claymation sequences. Weird and one-of-a-kind. In French with English subtitles. WIDESCREEN
