SYNOPSIS: Super criminal "Kilink" in his first three adventures!
Disc 1:
Killing in Istanbul: Turkish Kriminal rip-off with a skull-faced villain causing havoc. "Kilink" enters in film wrapped in bandages like a mummy while inside a coffin. A buxom blonde injects him and he is unwrapped to reveal his full body skeleton suit and mask! He's a criminal genius, expert fighter and a master of disguise. Kilink immediately starts out to acquire a secret formula for a machine to rule the world. He kills his old partner and grabs the formula but it's incomplete. The rest of the film is spent with Kilink and his gang trying to find it. Meanwhile a relative of one of Kilink's victims makes a wish to get revenge. A Zeus-type god appears before him and grants his wish. He must simply say "Shazam!" and he will be transformed into a Superman / Shazam rip-off superhero complete with cape and a big "S" on his chest! He is impervious to bullets, super strong and can fly. This movie moves very quickly and feels more like an old 1940's serial than anything else. Every 10 minutes or so there's a fight, a chase, a shoot out or someone getting tortured. The girls are all surprisingly sexy. Kilink's goons all dress the same and one of them looks like Borat. The special effects are super cheesy especially when Shazam is flying. In Turkish language with English subtitles. Running time: 1hr 10mins
Kilink vs The Flying Man: Kilink in Istanbul ends very abruptly so this short feature picks up right where it left off. Kilink hides out on a remote island where his evil scientist cohort has built a death ray. Kilink tests out the device by blowing up a rowboat in the ocean. The henchmen all wear flowing MC Hammer-style clothing and shirts that have a large "K" sewn on the front! Eventually our hero Shazam / Flying Man catches up to Kilink and saves the day once again. Portions of the ending, after the big action scene, are represented with stills as some footage was lost forever. In Turkish language with English subtitles. Running time: 48 mins
Please Note: The above two films are extremely rare transfers, from some of the few surviving prints, and have a good amount of wear and tear. Between the black & white image, scratched up print and the Turkish language, which can sometimes sound like spoken English backwards, this is like an Avengers film directed by David Lynch!
Disc 2:
Kilink: Strip & Kill: Of the three surviving Kilink films this is the best one. It's also the beginning of Kilink becoming more of an anti-hero instead of a straight up villain. They've also ditched Shazam and made Kilink the main focus. The third film picks right up at the end of the second. Kilink has once again faked his death and lived to fight another day. Here he finds himself playing two criminal gangs against each other (ala Yojimbo) with everyone involved trying to get a secret microfilm worth millions. Being a master of disguise Kilink is often taking the place of a henchman or bad guy to gain access to gang. For some reason all the women in the film find Kilink absolutely irresistible even though he keeps his mask on when he makes love to them. The heads of each crime family are constantly slapping people in the face (usually women). A few sexy ladies are tied up and tortured. Filled with fight scenes, shoot-outs, car chases and a speed boat. The film transfer on this feature is much better than the first two titles. In Turkish language with English subtitles. Running time: 1hr 32mins
Bonus: Almost 30 mins of wild Turkish film trailers including rarities like the rip-offs of Superman, Captain America and Spider-Man
