SYNOPSIS: In Norway Lake of the Dead is held in high esteem as an all-time classic horror film the way Psycho and Night of the Living Dead are in the U.S. Although it may feel a bit like Evil Dead (a group of friends vacation in a log cabin in the woods with a cursed presence hovering around) don't expect any chainsaws or flying eyeballs. This is all mood, tone and creepy atmosphere as the frightened visitors hear strange noises, sleepwalk in the woods, share the legend of the curse and feel drawn to the deceivingly placid lake. Filmed in beautiful Black & White. In spoken Norwegian with English subtitles. WIDESCREEN
