SYNOPSIS: Superhero "Iron Claw" battles the supervillain "Fantomas" and his followers in this action-packed Turkish wonder. Our hero Iron Claw, who looks like a Turkish Sal Mineo, has a flowing cape and mask and uses his fists, a gun and a whip in his efforts to defeat his foe. He also has a female sidekick and they zip around dusty Turkish streets together fighting crime. Fantomas is up to his usual shenanigans: murder, theft, kidnapping, etc. He has an endless supply of henchmen who wear long sleeved black shirts with a big white "F" on the chest. The basic plot has Fantomas trying to retrieve a collection of secret microfilms. Kidnapped scientists and damsels in distress soon follow. The villains are cruel as even women and elderly men are not spared, and killed without hesitation. There's a ton of action in this one with chase scenes, energetic fights and shoot-outs all reminiscent of U.S. movie serials from the late 30's and early 40's like Spy Smasher, Judex and Daredevils of the Red Circle. You also get treated to three sexy belly dance sequences. The main henchman has a big steel hand in place of his real one. This Turkish entry is not as campy as some of the other infamous films. It's cheesy and low budget at times but also violent as hell.
