SYNOPSIS: In the opening sequence a women-in-prison shower scene is interrupted as five convicts beat the guards and break out. They escape from a sewer into a desolate landscape in the hills of California. Trudging through riverbeds, brush and long dry stretches of land they find a road and manage to steal a car. After outrunning the police they eventually settle in at a remote farmhouse. The tough black convict "rapes" the owner of the house. The "crazy" convict hangs herself in an act of despair. The remaining four go in to town to get money for a plane ride to Mexico. Of course not everything goes as planned. There's very little nudity in this one but it does deliver with some action scenes and violence. All the locations are pretty grimy and realistic. At one point the black convict visits her brother, a big time pimp, at his nightclub "The African Place".
