SYNOPSIS: This one is basically Alive but in the desert instead of the snow. A private plane crashes in the Mexico desert with only 9 survivors. At first they think help will come but it never arrives. After a bit of arguing and decision making they set off walking. The bulk of the film has the dwindling survivors battling the harsh elements and each other. Downbeat, grim and realistic they eventually are so desperate that drinking urine and eating human flesh become a reality for them. Some nice location photography and all the performers are solid. Chris Makepeace is the character we end up following. He travels with a hot blonde girl who has a memorable nude scene. Scott Hylands, who appeared in countless 70's films and TV shows (like Wonder Woman, Cannon, The Waltons, etc) is great as the dangerous villain of the film.
