(aka Morte Sospetta di un Minorenne, Suspicious Death of a Minor)

DIRECTOR: Sergio Martino (All the Colors of the Dark, Torso, Mountain of the Cannibal God)

STARS: Claudio Cassinelli, Mel Ferrar, Patrizia Castaldi

SYNOPSIS: By the cover art and title you might expect this to be another nice addition to the giallo genre. But in reality it's a police investigation / crime film (or poliziesco) with a good dose of violence, action and nudity. Fans of What Have They Done to Your Daughters? should check this one out. Cassinelli plays a no-nonsense cop who's not above hanging out with hookers, putting civilians in the line of fire, slapping around suspects, etc. He sets his sights on finding the person responsible for the brutal death of a teenage prostitute. In one extended scene there's a wild car chase through city streets involving a mini-cooper sized car, police, nuns, a poor guy on a bike and more. The film has an odd mix of serious (teenage prostitution, murder, etc) and outright slapstick humor as well. Plus a pretty awesome 70's, Italian style, Goblin-esque score too. In original Italian language with English subtitles. Uncut and WIDESCREEN
