SYNOPSIS: Two vintage slasher favorites
Savage Weekend: Early slasher film that was released one year before Friday the 13th and was filmed two years before Halloween. Unlike the available dvd (which is cut) our version has all the blood and nudity intact! A group of city slickers get away for the weekend at a country house in upstate New York. They drink, have sex and party. William Sanderson gives an creepy supporting performance as the handyman weirdo who scares most of the guests. After the fun and games someone puts on an effectively scary rubber mask and goes about killing the guests one by one. Lots of nudity and a fair amount of blood in this satisfying slasher with (let's face it) one of the coolest 80's vhs covers ever. Uncut.
Schizoid: Here's a late night cable horror favorite from the 80's. Marianna Hill stars as a patient to the sometimes creepy, red-herring, psychiatrist Klaus Kinski. The other members in her group therapy sessions are being knocked off in brutal fashion by a scissors-wielding maniac. The kicker is that the psycho mails her a pasted up ransom-style note ("Dear Julie, Don't let me do it again...") before each murder which of course scares the hell out of her. Everyone from creepy Christopher Lloyd to young Donna Wilkes and a smiling Craig Wasson are suspect. 80's style slasher with some giallo elements added to the mix. Check out the trailer below.
