Action packed car crash porn for fans of GONE IN 60 SECONDS, CANNONBALL, THE JUNKMAN, etc. Joe Don Baker stars as a private dick called in to help local cops catch an unstoppable car thief nicknamed "The Road Runner". He also butts heads with a local mafia crime boss (Robert Loggia). The film is filled with car chases, crashes and insane stunts. There's even one stunt (see below) that used the 'Bullet Time' effect 22 years before THE MATRIX! Go figure. Plus the supporting cast is filled with genre favorites like Roberta Collins, Richard Jaeckal and Timothy Carey. Perfect 70's Drive-In style entertainment.
