SYNOPSIS: Above average 70's action film that at first glance appears to simply be Blaxploitation entry. Billy Dee Williams stars as a man whose daughter dies from a heroin overdose. He wants to get revenge and decides to find the source and shut them down. He can't do it alone so he gets together a "Dirty Dozen" style group of people. They all have events in their lives tainted by the negative effects of drugs. In essence they all have a grudge to bear. It turns out the drug lords are all in France (THE FRENCH CONNECTION came out two years before HIT!). The motley mercenaries head overseas to track down these untouchable pushers. Two of the crew include Richard Pryor and the cute Gwen Welles (a sadly underused 70's redhead). Recommended.
